This zoo is a fair size, but not as big as some major zoos. You can get a lot closer to the animals, and have a much better view of them. Some of the cages seamed a little small compared to some zoos. The paths around the park were mostly shaded with a detour thorough a walking trail though a wooded area.
At the front gate they sell bags of grain or peanuts that you can feed the animals with. Picnic tables are scattered about the zoo in mostly shaded areas, their are no food vendors other than a couple of snack and drink items sold at the gatehouse.
