Rockton, Ontario
We spent the afternoon here, touring the many historic buildings, each one with costumed tour guides. Highlights included George Potts Spinning Wheel Shop, here our girls each took a turn using one of the weaving machines.
At the Inn we learned about how they preserved meat, at the Blacksmith shop we saw demonstrations as well. The roads and walking trails lead us to different buildings each building took us to a different time period from the late 1800 to early 1900s. The main picnic area was large with lots of picnic areas, we also stopped at the historic General Store for some candy like those enjoyed during pioneer times.
